Repairs request

We are experiencing a high volume of repair requests and our phone lines are extremely busy.  For now, our teams are focusing on emergency repairs.

If you have already reported a repair, there is no need to contact us. We will contact the tenant as soon as we can to arrange the repair or make an appointment for an inspector to visit.

Please only contact us again, by phone, if the repair has become an emergency.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Before reporting a repair, you must read our guidance below.

Tenant responsibilities

Refer to the Tenants Guide to Repairs for a full list of tenant responsibilities. Common examples include:

  • minor decoration and plaster work repairs
  • damage caused by neglect or carelessness
  • maintenance of floor coverings, fixtures, fittings, and external lights
  • replacement of light bulbs, plugs, and fuses not fitted by the council
  • installation of additional locks, spy-holes, and security chains
  • maintenance of divisional fencing and outhouses

Reporting a Repair

You must tell us as much detail as possible so that we can allocate your enquiry/repair to the correct team. Incomplete information or using the wrong form may delay processing or result in your form being returned.

Emergency repairs must be reported by phone. These are repairs that pose a danger to life or property.

Non-urgent repairs, use the online form for first-time reports, heating commission requests, or lock changes.

Ongoing repairs, use the online form if a tradesperson or inspector has previously visited, or if the tenant moved in within the last four weeks.
