New leave year

Oracle Fusion will automatically calculate the overall leave entitlement for your employees, based on their length of service and the number of hours worked per week. Please be advised that this leave entitlement will be a total of their annual leave and public holiday entitlements.

Any enhanced (bought) leave entitlement will be automatically added to your employees’ leave entitlement on Oracle Fusion from 1 January.

At the start of the new leave year, all employees must apply for any of their fixed public holidays that fall on a day they are scheduled to work. These hours will then be deducted from their overall leave entitlement, and the remaining balance can then be used throughout the leave year.

Leave entitlement will update automatically on Oracle Fusion if there is a change to the number of hours worked per week by an employee.

Oracle Fusion will automatically carry over any untaken leave from the previous year until 31 January, after which it will expire.

Therefore, there are no manual adjustments required to your employees’ leave entitlements due to these factors.
