Physiotherapy

Physicare provides a physiotherapy service which can include treatment provided virtually (telephone, video and online resources) face to face or a combination of these approaches. Where face to face treatment is provided, it would be at one of the following locations:

Cambuslang: Training and Enterprise Centre, CTEC Building, 1 - 15 Main Street , Cambuslang, G72 7EX
East Kilbride: Church House, The Village Centre, 12 Maxwell Drive, East Kilbride, G74 4HG
Hamilton: Barncluith Business Centre,Townhead St, Hamilton, ML3 7DP
Lanark: 22 Bannatyne Street , Lanark , ML11 7JR

Accessing physiotherapy

Anyone who is an employee of South Lanarkshire Council can access physiotherapy. It does not matter if your condition is acute/cronic, if you are at work/off work, or if your condition occurred within or outwith work. Even if you are currently waiting on treatment through the NHS or your GP, you can be referred for an urgent appointment with this service.

Referral forms

If you think you could benefit from physiotherapy or you are currently on a waiting list, speak to your manager. They will complete a referral form and ask you to complete and Employee declaration form. Once completed the referral form should be emailed to Physiotherapy@southlanarkshire.gov.uk. The employee’s declaration form should be kept by the manager. Managers are requested to forward the referral form as a Word document attachment and not as a PDF or hard copy. This is because the documents are encrypted before being forwarded to PhysiCare.

PhysiCare will contact you directly to provide you with your first appointment. At your first session the physiotherapist will discuss your future treatment plan.

Please note that if you fail to attend your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, without good reason, you will be responsible for the full cost of the appointment which will be deducted from your salary.
