Are you thinking about eating healthier or getting active in 2022?

You can find some tips here on how we can improve our everyday habits in a way that's good for the environment, as well as our physical and mental health.

This new Net Zero Hero Quiz from Net Zero Scotland can help us to identify and make small changes to our everyday routine that could benefit the environment.

As well as that, by making healthy, sustainable food choices and eating greener we can all play our part in helping Scotland reach its net zero target. Net Zero Scotland has some easy tips including:

  • Eat local - Food that has been produced locally is often fresher and tastier, and helps support the local economy and reduces the carbon emissions from transportation and storage
  • Eat seasonally - Food that is grown at the right time of year takes less energy to produce and is bursting with more flavour
  • Grow your own - If you start growing your own fruit and veg in spring, you will cut down on shopping trips, food miles, wasteful packaging, as well as save money.
