Do not use this form to enquire about a person’s eligibility for a Crisis or Community Care Grant. This can only be established if the person completes a crisis or community care grant application.
Application processing timescales
We aim to respond to applications as follows:
- 2 working days for crisis grants
- 15 working days for community care grants
This may take longer if we have received lots of applications or if any information and evidence asked for hasn't been provided.
Priority requests
You can request an application be considered a priority if it falls within any of the categories below.
- Fleeing violence - applicant is unable to go into temporary accommodation and is currently in own house.
- Chronic ill health is affected by current residence. The applicant or family member has a respiratory health issue which is affected as they currently reside in an upper floor property. This must be supported by medical points and health related benefits. We receive a high volume of applications from people who advise they suffer from mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, however they do not receive any health related benefits to support this. Therefore any priority request under this category must be supported by health related benefits and medical points.
- Bed blocking (hospital or care home).
- Rapid re-housing.
