Objective reporting
Objective reporting
There are many reasons why reports are important in the day-to-day operations of the council - they can be used for general housekeeping and statistical analysis.
Objective has two main methods of reporting:
- using the saved search function
- Crystal reports
A saved search can be used for less complex searching, for example finding documents completed within a specific timescale. This is one of the many search example types which can be applied. A search can be created and configured with the option to save for future use within Objective. Resource Lead Officers can edit and add to searches if and when necessary. Extracts can also be taken from Objective to Excel or to PDF format.
Crystal Reports is an application which allows the creation of reports from a variety of data sources. The reports are organised in a descriptive format, they can be prepared on a periodic, regular or on an as-required basis. The reports may refer to specific periods or subjects and presented electronically. Crystal Reports can be requested from your Resource Lead Officers or System Administrator who will arrange for this with IT.
During Objective's preparation stages a number of reports have been arranged to be available at go live. As we move forward, other bespoke reports can be developed.
