Operations Service

The Operations Service incorporates the Communications and Information Service and directorate support for the Executive Director of Education Resources.

Described as the hub of the department it sets out to "add value to the delivery of front line services and learning communities whose focus is on Raising Attainment and Achievement".

The Operations Service is responsible for:

• the Policy Statement on Communication and Consultation
• Communication and consultation practices
• Celebrating achievement
• Committee reports
• Councillor/MSP enquiries/complaints
• Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information requests
• Emergencies/incidents
• School handbooks
• HMI reports/follow-up reports
• Intranet/web
• Education newsletter
• Operating procedures
• Parental Involvement (Parent Councils)
• Liaison with CCPA on press/media enquiries
• School holiday dates
