Information sharing
The Lanarkshire Data Sharing Partnership includes Social Work in North and South Lanarkshire Councils, NHS Lanarkshire, GPs, Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
The Partnership agencies are responsible for eCare - an advanced data sharing platform that enables practitioners within Health and Social Care who are responsible for providing care, to share information electronically with each other.
Shared information is held on a secure server known as the MAS - multi agency store. eCare is also used to send the following notifications to those involved in a person's care:
- Child Protection
- Adult Protection
- Pre Birth concerns
- Linked People
Launch of modernised eCare
The Lanarkshire Data Sharing Partnership Board has now produced a modernised version of eCare to make it more user friendly with improved functionality.
To support staff in using eCare we have produced a short film which shows how to use the system. The film is available to staff via 'Learn Online' and should be viewed before using the new version of eCare. Once you log into Learn Online please type "eCare" into the search box to access the film.
(Please note, not all of the functionality shown in the video will be available immediately. There will be an incremental introduction of certain new features).
Information Sharing documentation, eCare Business Rules and the Lead Professional Protocol produced by the Lanarkshire Data Sharing Partnership are also available. For any IT related questions on eCare or related systems please contact your IT Support Team.
