Support Services

Education Resources Support Services provides professional management support and advice to schools and broader Learning Communities across a range of areas.

These include:

• The management and allocation of School Support Assistants and Technicians
• Placing requests and school transport administration
• Property management and new build transition
• Health and Safety
• Teacher absence cover

Learning Community Support Services Co-ordinators work closely with individual heads of establishment to help ensure that practitioners are fully supported in taking forward high quality teaching and learning.

Each Support Services Co-ordinator also has a lead role responsibility designed to help strengthen links between establishments and other Services within the Council and beyond.

These include Additional Support Needs and Inclusion, Schools Estate, Energy Management, Risk Management, Performance Management, Procurement, ICT, Personnel Management, Facilities Management and Educational Maintenance Allowance.
