Sickness allowance - Continuous service
The Council will recognise continuous local government service when calculating your entitlement to sickness allowances. Only organisations listed within the Redundancy Payments (Continuity of Employment in Local Government, etc.) (Modification) Order 1999 and subsequent Amendment Orders will count towards continuous service for the purposes of annual leave, occupational sickness scheme and the occupational maternity scheme.
The Council also recognises continuous service between the Council and other Public Sector Partner Organisations for calculating entitlement to occupational sick pay.
The list of agreed Public Sector Partner Organisations is maintained by Finance and Corporate Resources.
