Progression

Grade progression ensures that a structured and transparent process is established to support progression through the spinal column point (SCP) range, also referred to as Grade and Level, determined by job evaluation.

Managers and employees build evidence through the Performance and Development Review (PDR) discussions and there are various progression documents to support grade progression.

In order to support a request for progression, you must be carrying out tasks at a higher level.  Where progression is recommended but is out with the recognised grade for the post, this will be subject to job evaluation.
